The Pana Chamber of Commerce “Farmers Market” is returning after a great year
in 2010. Beginning on Friday May 21, 2010 and ending on Friday October 22, 2010 the
Pana Friday’s Farmers Market will stage on Third Street in front of Auto Zone and Tri-
County Feed and Seed and will open to the public from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Illinois
Producers will feature in-season vegetables, fruits, flowers, plants and more during the
Farmers Market. Produce will be available as weather prevails and while quanities last.
Most of the produce is picked fresh the day of the market, so freshness is one of the many
features of the Market. Also baked goods, arts and crafts, various demonstrations, and
entertainment may be available at times during the evening.

The Farmers Market has been requested by various local consumers as well as
local producers. An advertising grant from the Illinois Department of Agriculture to help
promote the Friday’s Farmers Market plus the efforts of the Pana Chamber of Commerce
have made the events possible.

The Pana Chamber invites all Illinois Producers to take part in the Markets.
Applications and guidelines are available at the Pana Chamber. The Chamber would
like to extend at invitation to area Artists and Craftsmen to display and sell their
creations. Area Clubs and Organizations are welcome to play a part in the Friday
afternoon and evening event to display or demo their programming. The Chamber is
also seeking those who would like to provide entertainment for the Markets. The
producers will have an opportunity to give the Chamber the items that will be available
each Friday and that information will be in an ad the Thursday issues of the Pana News
Palladium.

The event will again give our Community an opportunity to present our Town and
the Business Community while featuring the best from Illinois Agriculture. For more

through Friday.
